Western Breast collar

Westren Breast collar or breastplate attaches to the saddle dee rigging plate on both sides of the saddle. Another strap runs between the horses legs and attaches to the cinch. The purpose is to keep saddles from slipping back. Breast collars are usually made of leather but may be made of Fleece, Mohair or any other suitable materials.
