Proper bandaging: The most important thing is to develop a feel for the tension placed on the bandage when applying it to the leg. Never use strong pressure on the flex or tendons. (on the back of the leg). Do not use force across the extensor tendons at the front of the horses cannon. Wrap the bandage in the same direction as the quilt. Be sure to smooth out any wrinkles in the quilt that is under the wrap. Be sure to apply even pressure up or down the leg that is appropriate for the type of underlying quilt you may be using. (pillow wrap, quilt wrap, fleece wrap)
