Whether clipping your horse's ears, bridle paths or body clipping, good quality clippers and a number of sharp clipper blades are required to do a professional job. It is always best to bathe your horse before clipping. Do not overheat your clipper blades. This will cause them to become dull and make your job more difficult. We clip our horses to help keep their hair clean so it will be easy to maintain for shows and regular training, or to keep the horse cool in hot summer months. Body clips may also help solve fungal problems.
