General Information
Lead lines or lead shanks are made from rope, nylon webbing, cotton webbing and leather. Horse leads can have snaps and or Chain with a snap at the end. Horse leads are used daily in handling horses. A quality leather lead with a chain end will last for years and is comfortable in your hands. Leather leads should not be used around the wash rack or used to tie up a horse they are too expensive for this purpose and may break if your horse gets spooked. A good nylon lead in either rope or nylon web works well for this purpose
