General Information
A Curb bit will produce leverage on the horses jaw. Curb bits include the Pelham, Kimberwick, Walking horse, Liverpool and Weymouth to name a number of the major styles. However, the list is nearly endless. The point is that all curb bits have a shank of some length and the ability to attach a curb strap. Mouth pieces do not determine if a bit is a curb bit. Also please note that a ported bit is not necessarily a curb bit
