US Cavalry Bit

A fantastic exact replica of a US "S" curve curb bit.  This was the standard issue bit, general use without a Bradoon.  The curved shank made it more difficult for a horse to grab the side of the bit with his mouth.  The higher port and the weight will encourage a horse to submit at the poll when in the hands of a tactful rider.  Perfect for the enthusiasts of Civil War and other reenactments. Bit color is Antique Bronze.
