Chuck Letchworth Western Bit with US Cavalry Port. The port on this bit is slightly forward. Note that the shanks are swept to the rear. This together with a leather curb strap will cause the bit to react slower. This is good for a horse with a sensitive mouth or a less experienced riders. The wide port allows for tongue relief. The thick bars provides good signal with less pain. Designed to be used in many disciplines, from pleasure, reining, trail, working cow, cutting roping and team penning.
