Authentic wooden wheelbarrows are built with traditional Amish craftsmanship dating from the late 1800's in Lancaster County, PA. Pattern features a main frame made from ash. Mortise and tenon joinery and ring shank nails are used throughout to add authenticity and strength to the construction. Removable poplar sideboards for added versatility, steel bracing for increased strength and durability. Authentic features are steam bent hickory wheels, steel rims and eight staggered spokes. We work hard to produce a quality, strong and functional reproduction of those wheelbarrows from back in the "good old days," the type that worked hard, but today may have decorative use holding toys, magazines, holiday decorations and potted plants.
Galvanized steel liner available to protect the wheelbarrow when used as a planter.
